Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Jonsau Shrine solution
To solve Jonsau Shrine in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to:
- Use Ultrahand on the large ball
- Position it directly under the pressure plate on the ceiling
- Lower the ball under the water and release
- The ball will hit the pressure plate to open the door
- Carry the ball to the next room and repeat the process
- Head into the third room
- Position the ball under the water in front of the pillar
- Release the ball to dislodge the lift
- Climb into the lift
- Position the ball underneath you
- Release the ball to catapult the lift upwards
- Drop down to the exit
As you can see, there are a number of steps to complete the Jonsau Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom. However, each puzzle room builds upon the core idea of using the yellow ball to bounce upwards. When held under water using Ultrahand and then released, the ball will spring upwards with great energy. This is used twice to activate out-of-reach pressure plates, and then to dislodge the lift at the end and catapult it upwards. Once you understand this mechanic, the Jonsau Shrine is relatively quick to complete.
There is a bonus chest that can be found under the water to your left as you leave the first puzzle room. Using Ultrahand, retrieve this chest to receive a Strong Construct Bow, a great Zelda Tears of the Kingdom weapon. It’s also important to note that there are several ways to complete many puzzles in the game, including the Jonsau Shrine. Feel free to experiment and create your own solution.
