The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom companions
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom companions are:
- Sidon – Zora (Sage of Water)
- Tulin – Rito (Sage of Wind)
- Yunobo – Goron (Sage of Fire)
- Riju – Gerudo (Sage of Lightning)
- Mineru – Fifth Sage (Sage of Spirit)
To tread lightly on spoilers, there is one companion from each of the clans of Hyrule: Zora, Goron, Gerudo, and Rito. No doubt you will also recognise these names, as these characters also appeared in Breath of the Wild as the descendants of the Champions.
Tears of the Kingdom features companions for key story moments in Temple dungeons and boss fights. In a gameplay trailer, we see Link fighting alongside Sidon on the sky islands, and Tulin fighting one of the large Zelda Tears of the Kingdom bosses. Each one will accompany Link through the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom dungeons areas, helping to solve puzzles and defeat the boss at the end of the trial.
They will also grant you access to a Sage companion ability that you can use, similar to the Champion’s abilities in Breath of the Wild. Nevertheless, the companions in Tears of the Kingdom are more integral to the plot and gameplay than the Champions of Breath of the Wild at the very least.
