There’s a disturbance in the Force – the force being your subscription service libraries on PS5 and Xbox. Star Wars Jedi Survivor has finally arrived on EA Play standard tier, and that also means it’s joining the Xbox Game Pass library too. On Thursday, April 25, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to jump into Cal Kestis’ latest (and, in our view, greatest) adventure.
Initially spotted over on ResetEra (thanks, ‘NeonDelta’), one of 2023’s best games is currently downloadable for free on PS5 – provided you have a valid EA Play sub, of course. Jedi Survivor joined EA Play on day one when it launched in April last year, though it was only available via the far pricier Pro tier. Now, with Cal and friends getting the nod to join the base band, those with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to play it at no extra cost too.
One of the best Star Wars games in recent memory has gone on sale repeatedly since release, but if you’re a Game Pass user who has yet to pick it up, then it’s worth staving off until it’s been added to the list of Game Pass games later this week. If you’d rather own your games, then you’re more than valid to snag it while it’s on offer – it’s currently down to $30 on Amazon US (or £24.99 in the UK) which is a bargain in its own right.
While NeonDelta was first to spot Jedi Survivor sliding onto EA Play, a new Xbox Wire blog post has sealed the inevitable deal for Game Pass subscribers by confirming Jedi Survivor’s arrival on the 25th.

If you’re looking for something to tide you over until the Star Wars Outlaws release date rolls around, then the Star Wars Jedi series is a must-play in our books. Respawn’s penchant for frenetic combat, mixed with elements that would have you mistake it for some of the best Soulslike games, makes for a stunning gameplay experience. Don’t forget too that the first game, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, is already on Xbox Game Pass.
Jedi Survivor isn’t the only game that’s slid onto Game Pass this month thanks to its inclusion on EA Play. April’s new Game Pass games lineup also features F1 23, EA Sports PGA Tour, and NHL 24. This EA quartet is also joined by big hitters like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Ark Survival Ascended.
