Saints Row Weapon Customisation: A shotgun can be seen in the customisation seen

Saints Row may not have a dildo-bat, but there are a number of different weapons and guns that you can pick up and use to bring an end to one of the gangs in the game. But, how can you really make a weapon your own? Well, Saints Row’s weapon customisation is how.

And, Volition has really gone all out with this reboot, allowing you to do everything from customising individual areas of your weapon to changing the shininess or glossiness of that weapon. This carries across all of the weapons, even some of the special weapons in the game.

This guide will give you an overview of all the ways you can give your weapons a personality through the Saints Row weapon customisation.

Saints Row Weapon Customisation

There are a wide variety of weapon customisation options in Saints Row covering the following:

  • Visual mod
  • Material
  • Weapon colours
  • Surface options – glossiness or metallic
  • Weapon Decal
  • Weapon patterns
  • Weapon pattern colour
  • Weapon pattern surface – glossiness or metallic
  • Power upgrades
  • Signature Abilities

Most of these options are visual, with weapon colours, surface options, and patterns. There are a wide variety of colours and options available and you can unlock even more as you complete missions, activities, and tasks.

There is a full RGB colour selector for weapons, and visual mods are effectively transmog functionality, allowing you to bring another weapon’s design over. Patterns cover a small area of the weapon with a design and weapon patterns allow you to put a unique design or spin on a classic weapon.

Power upgrades are simple stat boosts or switching the ammo with armour-piercing rounds or similar, while Signature Abilities are more active perks. For example, a headshot with the last few rounds in a magazine will refill it or a melee attack that slams the ground and launches enemies up into the air.
