- Start a co-op campaign game and host it, or start a brand new campaign
- Pause the game
- Choose the co-op options from the menu
- Select “invite friend”
- Choose your friend from your system and send an invite
And there you have it, if they join successfully, you should be able to play through the campaign with them and either pick up from your last save or play and then carry it over to a single-player game after you have finished playing with them.
