If you want to save big on your PS Plus membership this Black Friday, PlayStation's latest PS Plus sale isn't one you should miss out on.

If you’re on the lookout for the best PS Plus sale this Black Friday period, you’ll be pleased to know that PlayStation once again has you covered with some fantastic savings on PS Plus memberships – despite earlier concerns that the service would be exempt from the offers available this year. Whether you just want to play online, or if you want to take full advantage of the library available with PS Plus Extra and Premium, now is the perfect time to renew your subscription.

Scouring the internet for the best Black Friday deals every year can be a chore at the best of times, and looking for savings on PS Plus can be equally as frustrating. However, more often than not, PlayStation presents PS5 players with some excellent offers on both new PS5 games and the PS Plus subscription service you need to play those online. This year, you’ll be pleased to know, isn’t any different. From November 17 until November 27, you can save on some of the best RPG games, the best FPS games, and even the best fighting games available on the PlayStation Store. You’ll also be pleased to know that there’s some fantastic PS Plus Black Friday deals for you to check out too.

As this new PlayStation Blog post detailing all the best Black Friday PlayStation deals explains, you’ll be able to save a whopping 30% on all 12-month membership plans – be that Essential, Extra, or Premium. If you want to upgrade your current subscription, you’ll also be able to save 25% on upgrading to PS Plus Extra and 30% on upgrading to PS Plus Premium from November 17 until November 27.

When you look at all the PS Plus Extra and Premium games available, that really is worth considering. You also have all the free PS Plus games every month to look forward to as well, of course. Just last month, in fact, we saw one of the best horror games of the year available for free to PS Plus players; PlayStation is really starting to up its game with the titles it’s offering through this part of the service.

If, though, you’re wondering why these PS Plus deals are a little more surprising than they should be, there were actually doubts that PlayStation would offer any sort of PS Plus discounts this year – despite it being something of a tradition at this point.

Jumping the gun just a little bit, PlayStation Spain actually detailed its Black Friday deals in a PlayStation Blog post on November 10. Rather notably, PS Plus was largely absent from the announcement. With deals on the subscription service expected, and usually universal when they are offered, this absence raised some concerns for players looking to cash in on competitive discounts during the Black Friday period.

Thankfully, it seems as though this absence was nothing more than a temporary one. The Spanish-langauge PlayStation Blog post now reflects the same PS Plus deals mentioned above and it looks like everyone can save an excellent amount on the subscription service this year. It is, though, worth noting that there’s no mention of three-month subscriptions in either blog post. Although often the same level of discount, this would suggest that those of you looking to save will need to invest a little more now to enjoy the offer.

You will, though, be able to claim the following games for free instantly – which is far from a bad thing.

With a 12-month PS Plus Essential membership setting you back around $80 right now, you’re going to need to fork out at least $56.70 to take advantage of this deal. For PS Plus Extra, that number goes up to $94.50. And, for PS Plus Premium, you’re looking at around $112. Upgrading between tiers is a little harder to work out, though, as this is always dependent on the lenght of your existing PS Plus membership. However, the PlayStation Store will tell you exactly what you would need to pay and exactly how many days of additional PS Plus services you’re paying for when you go to upgrade.

PS Plus, however, isn’t the only thing you can save on this Black Friday period. You can save on the best PS5 controllers, the best PS5 headsets, and even the best PS5 SSDs throughout. So, it’s well worth shopping about if you’re looking to level up your set-up. When it comes to PS Plus, though, PlayStation itself is always the best place to save during Black Friday.
