If you want to make the most of your current PS Plus membership and you’re on the fence about upgrading it to PS Plus Extra or PS Plus Premium, now really is the best time to take the plunge. Some of the games leaving PS Plus in October 2023 are truly excellent RPG games and you won’t have long to enjoy them if you don’t upgrade today.
We know the PS Plus Extra and Premium games list is a long one, but it’s not permanent and PlayStation – like Xbox Game Pass – has a habit of removing some of the best PS5 games right when you want to play them. Typical, right? Well, that’s why we’re here to warn you that you don’t have long at all to play some of the best RPG games on the service (and, generally speaking) before they’re removed – maybe forever.
These are the games leaving PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium in October 2023:
- The Quarry (Extra and Premium)
- Far Cry 4 (Extra and Premium)
- Far Cry 5 (Extra and Premium)
- The Medium (Extra and Premium)
- Inside (Extra and Premium)
- Limbo (Extra and Premium)
- The Crew (Extra and Premium)
- Naruto To Boruto Shinobi Striker (Extra and Premium)
- Clouds and Sheep 2 (Extra and Premium)
- Asterbreed (Extra and Premium)
- Torquel (Extra and Premium)
- Gal Gunvolt (Extra and Premium)
- Goosebumps The Game (Extra and Premium)
- Yakuza 3 Remastered (Premium only)
- Yakuza 4 Remastered (Premium only)
- Yakuza 5 Remastered (Premium only)
If you can believe it, PS Plus is losing all 16 of these games on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Not only is The Quarry one of the best horror games out there right now, but both Far Cry 4 and Far Cry 5 are truly fantastic open-world adventures that you can enjoy for free for the next few days. In fact, you could argue that they’re some of the best open world games out there at the moment – although, our Assassin’s Creed Mirage review would have something to say about that.
On top of all that, those of you with one eye on the Like A Dragon Gaiden release date will want to check out the three Yakuza games leaving PS Plus Premium soon. With Yakuza 3 Remastered and Yakuza 4 Remasterd taking around 20 hours each to finish, you do have time to get through them and start tackling Yakuza 5 Remastered. Although, as we said, the time really is now.
Thankfully, though, it isn’t all bad news if you’re a PS Plus member. You can check out all the confirmed PS Plus October 2023 games right here – which anyone with any tier of PS Plus can access. We also have the latest on the new PS Plus Extra and Premium October 2023 games here. You’ll need to keep an eye on this one, though, as PlayStation’s full announcement is expected on October 11.
