Pokémon Scarlet & Violet new ‘mon Grafaiai makes poisoning an art form

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is introducing a new Pokémon called Grafaiai, and the Toxic Monkey Pokémon looks like quite the sneaky customer

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Grafaiai new Pokémon: Grafaiai

A brand new Pokémon has been announced by Game Freak ahead of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release date.

Grafaiai, the Toxic Monkey Pokémon, is a dual Poison and Normal type ‘mon that lives for the nighttime. According to its Paldea Pokédex page, Grafaiai is a “moody Pokémon with a fastidious disposition. It doesn’t form packs, preferring to roam alone. It’s constantly caught up in territorial struggles with other Pokémon.”

Using its poison saliva, Grafaiai paints patterns on trees within its territory, luring in and paralysing its Bug-type prey. As the sun rises, Grafaiai returns to collect its haul. Among its numerous, special properties, Grafaiai’s poison “changes colour depending on what the Pokémon eats”.
