Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release date: the character from Pokemon Violet

Pokemon scarlet and violet starters: the three gen 9 starters on a dark moonlit background

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starters

We already have details on the first Pokémon Scarlet and Violet starters  They’re your standard grass, fire, and water types and picking one will kickstart your journey in this open-world game.

The three Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starters are:

  • Sprigatito
  • Fuecoco
  • Quaxly

Sprigatito is a grass cat Pokémon with the Overgrow ability, Fuecoco is a crocodile-inspired fire starter with the Blaze ability, and Quaxly is an adorable water duckling with the Torrent ability.

And although that’s all that’s been officially confirmed, there’s been a lot of talk of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet starters evolutions. A new rumour, posted on Twitter by The SV Guy, suggests the final form of Sprogatito is Florarince, Fuecoco’s is Cucapiente, and Quaxly’s is Cabospada.

These are apparently grass/fairy, fire/ghost, and water/dark types respectively, but given hardly anything has leaked so far about this game, we’d take these rumours with a pinch of salt.
