Gremlins’ Gizmo clearly causing chaos as MultiVersus update delayed

Gremlins' Gizmo is coming to Player First Games' free fighting game MultiVersus, but they're not coming quite as soon as we were expecting and here's why

We know it has only been a few months, but Player First Games’ MultiVersus is already one of the best fighting games we’ve played in a long time – and it’s only set to get better and better. However, fans hoping to jump onto one of MultiVersus’ maps and stages with Gremlins’ Gizmo soon will have to wait a little longer than expected. Why? Well, it looks like the MultiVersus Gizmo release date is being pushed back along with an update containing more MultiVersus Taz buffs.

Shared by reliable MultiVersus leaker ‘MultiVerSusie’, it appears that game director Tony Huynh has confirmed that the next patch – and title update that includes Gizmo – for the fighting game have been delayed. This information was reportedly uncovered by MultiVersus pro ‘Orilarc’ who sent a Direct Message to Huynh asking about the upcoming update.

At the moment, this information has not been made available through official channels – and Huynh hasn’t tweeted this information from his own account. So, it’s worth taking all of this with a pinch of salt. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Gizmo delayed after the delay to Morty and Season 1.

It’s also worth noting that there’s nothing to say that the leak itself is real, despite MultiVerSusie’s good track record. As you can see for yourself below, it’s just a screenshot of a Twitter DM with a message that appears to be from Huynh. However, someone could quite easily just be using his profile picture to simulate a message from the game director.

But, as with any leak, we’ll just have to wait and see what’s in-store come September 6 and beyond. We could get a smaller title update on the aforementioned date, but we’re expecting anything larger that may or may not be adding a Gremlin or two to the roster to be coming at a later date.

Will Gizmo make a mark on our MultiVersus tier list? It’s a little hard to say without playing around with him in-game. However, whether he’s as overpowered as he could be or not, we know that he’s going to be a lot of fun to play as – and cause a lot of chaos along the way.
