If you’re a gamer looking for an awesome platform brawler that brings together characters from DC Comics, Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, and more you’re in luck – MultiVersus does exactly that. Player First Games’ fighter is packed with characters from popular pop culture franchises and – if you’re wondering how many iconic locations made it into the game – we have everything you need to know about all the MultiVersus maps and stages below.
Of course, there are going to be some MultiVersus maps and stages you recognise from franchises like Adventure Time and Batman, however there’s a good chance that there’s going to be quite a few that you don’t know about. So, it’s going to be worth knowing a little bit about the levels you’ll be fighting on if you want to give yourself the best chance of victory.
We don’t know exactly how many stages there’s going to be in MultiVersus eventually, but we do know about a handful of them so far – and they all look great. So… Let’s get stuck in and see what we have to look forward to.
MultiVersus maps and stages
So, without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about all the MultiVersus maps and stages we know about so far:
- Batcave
- Scooby’s Haunted Mansion
- Training
- Tree Fort
- Trophy’s EDGE
- Sky Arena
- Cromulons Stage
Batcave
Ah, Batman’s Batcave – an iconic location no matter the iteration of the Caped Crusader. This map’s layout consists of a large central platform and two elevated platforms on either side of the map. It’s worth noting that these two platforms can be temporarily knocked down if a player is hit into them.
It’s also been revealed that one of the two grates on the central platform will release a smoke cloud on occasion – and there are swarms of bats that will damage players caught up in them. So… Quite a few hazards to look out for.
Scooby’s Haunted Mansion
So… We’re not sure Scooby Doo ever owned a Haunted Mansion, but this is a Haunted Mansion ripped right out of the series. This stage is made up of one large central platform split into five sections that change elevation throughout a match.
The thing players need to look out for on this map is the levers on the walls – these will open up the second and fourth sections of the central platform creating environmental hazards.
Training
As the name suggests, this is going to be a bit of a testing ground for players looking to touch up on their skills before jumping into a match on another map or stage. Interestingly, this stage has three layouts for players to check out.
The problem we have right now is that we don’t know the details about these variations. What we do know so far is that one of them will be just one flat stage – which could make for an exciting match.
Tree Fort
Finn the Human and Jake the Dog, if you weren’t aware, live in a Tree Fort in Adventure Time – because, why wouldn’t they – and it’s going to be a map stage in MultiVersus. This is going to be made up of one main wide platform and two smaller platforms on either side of the map, but not on the edge of the map.
Interestingly, it will reportedly have two variants – one for 1v1 games and one for 2v2 games. The 1v1 games will only have the two smaller platforms and the 2v2 games will have all three platforms. These two smaller platforms will also be trampoline-like and can bounce players higher than usual.
Trophy’s EDGE
This location is completely new and designed for MultiVersus, however, the background is packed with interesting references and easter eggs – like the ACME box you can spot above Steven Universe in the image above.
Most of the fighting takes place on the main platform pictured, but there are also two smaller platforms that move horizontally across the map. You can’t fall under this map, but you can fall off of it – so you’re going to need to have your wits about you.
Ancient Sky Arena
First appearing in the second season of Steven Universe, this location is where the first ever Gem battles took place and a perfect battlefield for MultiVersus. Players are going to need to keep an eye on how they play around with this map as it’s all about the main platform.
We could see more moving parts added to this location in a future update, but right now it’s perfect for all of the MultiVersus game modes on offer.
Cromulons Stage
This is the iconic stage where Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith saved the world with “Get Schwifty” in the Adult Swim show Rick and Morty. With both characters joining the roster in August, the stage has gone live ahead of their release.
You can now check it out in game and begin getting ring-outs while saving the world!
Well, that’s everything we know about all the MultiVersus maps and stages Player First Games has announced right now. We will update this list with more information when it’s available. But, for now, check out the latest on the MultiVersus roster and what we know about the playable characters.
