Hogwarts Legacy insider offering reassuring message for Ravenclaw fans

We know it feels like Ravenclaw house fans are going to miss out when it comes to Hogwarts Legacy, but a former developer has offered some reassurance online.

For quite a few Harry Potter fans, Hogwarts Legacy really is going to be the perfect game. Avalanche Software’s Wizarding World action RPG is shaping up to be a fantastic adventure in a huge open world packed with details. However, some of this excitement is being lost on Ravenclaw house fans – a group who haven’t had quite as much to be excited about heading into the Hogwarts Legacy release date. But, fear not, for it looks like there’s not going to be anything to worry about when it comes to content.

Now, we know that early Hogwarts Legacy leaks spell disappointment for Ravenclaw fans – and, more recently there was a Hogwarts Legacy trophies leak, and it was more bad news for Ravenclaw – but, this house should still offer the same amount as stuff as other the other Hogwarts Legacy houses available.

How do we know this? Well, former Hogwarts Legacy QA tester Taylor Liddell – who’s also the son of this game’s design director Chad Liddell – has recently taken to Reddit to participate in a Q&A session.

While this is NDA compliant, so don’t expect any major spoilers, it does offer a message of reassurance to Ravenclaw fans.

When asked if players opting for Ravenclaw house would have fewer quests to tackle, Liddell stated that “there’s just as much Ravenclaw content in the game as the other houses”. This is, of course, good news for players looking to choose this house. However, it doesn’t account for the aforementioned Hogwarts Legacy trophy list leak; this clearly shows that there isn’t a Relationship questline for a Ravenclaw house companion.

As you might already expect, this is pretty much all the information Liddell shared regarding Ravenclaw house content in Hogwarts Legacy. However, it is a reassuring message from someone who has supposedly played thousands of hours of Hogwarts Legacy – exploring everything this game has to offer – to hear that the amount of content should be equal.

How is the game going to compensate for not including a Ravenclaw house companion, though? We just don’t know for sure. Looking at the Hogwarts Legacy characters we know about, there are a couple Ravenclaw students that would make decent Hogwarts Legacy companions. However, only time will tell when it comes to the extent of their role in the game.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.

While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
