Hogwarts Legacy Romance options: A student can be seen

As with any RPG with a character focus, one of the big requests from players is romanceable characters. But, with Hogwarts Legacy’s setting, are there Hogwarts Legacy romance options?

First of all, while there are a vast group of Hogwarts Legacy characters, as a student at Hogwarts, romancing your fellow students is odd, especially when you are playing them and this isn’t a movie or something similar where we don’t have direct control over characters. But, it would help complete the fantasy in Hogwarts Legacy of living life as a student as you attend Hogwarts Legacy classes.

You can build and grow friendships, but there are no romance options in Hogwarts Legacy. The students are all teenagers after all and we can confirm this based on our time playing for our Hogwarts Legacy review.

Having romance options, where you get to play as students would undoubtedly be extremely controversial and just a little bit strange, so we aren’t surprised to see Avalanche forgo adding them in. Despite not having romance options, there are a number of Hogwarts Legacy companions that you can befriend.

Now you are aware of the lack of Hogwarts Legacy romance options of , you can properly begin chatting with your fellow students and taking on some of the Hogwarts Legacy quests. For more guides as you are playing, check out our Hogwarts Legacy walkthrough article.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.

While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
