Does Hogwarts Legacy have a FOV slider?

If you struggle with restrictive cameras, find out if you can adjust your field of view on consoles with a Hogwarts Legacy FOV slider.

Hogwarts Legacy FOV Slider: Two people can be seen

With the move to the next-generation consoles, FOV sliders have become much more prevalent in console games, much to the pleasure of those (like me) with motion sickness. It’s also a greatly appreciated feature for those who just want to see more of the world at once with a wider camera. No doubt then you’re asking the question: does Hogwarts Legacy have a FOV slider?

If you’re wanting to dive into Hogwarts Legacy, you can already check out the intriguing and expansive Hogwarts Legacy map you will explore and the star-studded Hogwarts Legacy voice actors and cast who voice everyone you meet. This guide is based on our time playing for our Hogwarts Legacy review on PS5.

Unfortunately, Hogwarts Legacy does not have an FOV slider on consoles, meaning you can’t adjust your camera view. It is available on PC, however.

With that said, as someone who often suffers from the restricted FOVs common in console gaming, Hogwarts Legacy’s camera is generally well-placed. So while there’s no option to adjust your FOV or zoom out, the camera works well currently.

There’s the answer to the question: does Hogwarts Legacy have a FOV slider? While the answer is undoubtedly unfortunate, especially for those who find console FOVs often too restrictive, the current camera is workable. Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.

While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
