When was the Gotham Knights’ Heroic Assault release date? Heroic Assault was a brand new standalone mode for Gotham Knights on PS5 and Xbox. It brought with it a new combat-focused experience to the game which you can enjoy with up to three other friends. That’s two more friends that you can play with than in the campaign!

Gotham Knights Heroic Assault release date
The Gotham Knights’ Heroic Assault game mode release date was November 29, 2022. This was offered as a free update to everyone who owns the game. WB Games says the mode becomes available “upon accessing Case File 05 in the main campaign.”
As a horde-based mode that’s tertiary to Gotham Knights’ narrative, Heroic Assault is more of a way for you to try out the game’s combat, rather than sink into the stories of the four characters you get to play as. We’d naturally recommend you finish the main campaign first before tucking in, but Heroic Assault can also serve as a palate cleanser if you need to take a break.
Gotham Knights Heroic Assault gameplay
Gotham Knights Heroic Assault is an up to four-player co-op mode that sees you fight through 30 floors of a dedicated area, completing specific objectives while utilizing the combo attacks, powers, and abilities of Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood.
The mode will not let you access Gotham or any of the content that is in the main Gotham Knights game if you don’t already own it. Similarly, it won’t add four-player co-op to the main campaign – bummer. You can check out an example floor below, as per this ‘Gamelander’ playthrough.
