The Genshin Impact 3.4 release date is at the top of many player’s minds and, so far, the version 3.4 update is shaping up to be one of the most exciting updates to the game since the 3.0 update. But, when is the Genshin Impact 3.4 release date?

Genshin Impact 3.4 release date

The Genshin Impact 3.4 release date is Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Between the 3.0 and 3.3 updates, the release schedule was shortened, meaning updates came out every five weeks rather than every six weeks. This has now been reverted back to the original six week schedule. Therefore, given that the 3.3 update arrived on December 7, 2022, and update 3.3 concluded on January 17, 2023, the Genshin Impact 3.4 release date will take place on January 18, 2023.

The Genshin Impact 3.4 banner schedule is also available, with banner phase one beginning on January 18, and banner phase two beginning on February 7. Take note of these dates so you don’t miss out on some of the best characters Genshin Impact has to offer.

Alongside the Genshin Impact 3.4 release date, the Special Program Genshin Impact livestream and several official posts for 3.4 also confirmed several major additions to the game. Besides the Genshin Impact 3.4 banners bringing with them two new characters, Alhaitham and Yaoyao, the 3.4 update has also added a stunning new area to the Sumeru desert threatened by vicious sandstorms, known as the Desert of Hadramaveth. A new boss, Setekh Wenut, can also be found here which will drop the Alhaitham Ascension material. Alongside a new boss, the Desert of Hadramaveth also brought with it two new Domains, the Fane of Panjvahe and City of the Deceased. Finally, the Genshin Impact 3.4 update will see the return of the Lantern Rite Festival event to Liyue.

There is also a new character quest available, Vultur Volans Chapter, Alhaitham’s new character story. This quest will give us a chance to dive deeper into the new character arriving in the Genshin Impact 3.4 banners and explore a new story alongside them.

Furthermore, there will also be the opportunity for players to receive a free four-star character from Liyue of their choosing from the selection of Beidou, Chongyun, Ningguang, Xiangling, Xinyan, Xingqiu, Yanfei, Yun Jin, and the new Yaoyao character.

The Special Program also confirmed rumours of new Genshin Impact outfits arriving in the 3.4 update, with Lisa and Ayaka next up to receive new outfits. The good news is that players will be able to earn Lisa’s skin, A Sobriquet Under Shade, for free during the Second Blooming event. Ayaka’s skin, Springbloom Missive, is designed to be her travel outfit, based on the dresses of Fontaine depicted in the light novel illustrations that she reads.

The May Fortune Find You daily login event runs from January 19 until February 3 and gives players the chance to earn some very valuable rewards. The May Fortune Find You daily login rewards are as such:

  • Day 3 – 2x Intertwined Fate
  • Day 4 – 18x Mystic Enhancement Ore
  • Day 5 – 2x Intertwined Fate
