Eminem isn’t the only artist getting on the Fortnite fun soon, as long-running metal band Avenged Sevenfold are preparing to drop into Epic Games battle royale. But what exactly is this unexpected collaboration going to involve? It looks like this Avenged Sevenfold Fortnite crossover could get strange quickly, as the band teases their arrival on social media.
Before the Fortnite Eminem concert begins, Avenged Sevenfold could pop up before the acclaimed rapper, as it appears that a fresh Fortnite Creative playlist is headed to one of the best multiplayer games on PS5 and Xbox. In typical fashion for the band, a cryptic social media post teases what they have lined up next, and it looks like the band’s iconography will be the feature of a new Creative Mode map, rather than a traditional multiplayer playlist.
The brief clip shows a character sweeping the floor of a neon lit locale, with the band’s logo adorned on the wall, accompanied by the phrase ‘We Love You’. This is the name of the fourth track on their latest album, Life Is But A Dream…, which came out earlier this year. The album marks a drastic change of pace and tone for Avenged Sevenfold, abandoning their heavy metal/metalcore sound for an avant-garde approach that dives into experimental territory for the band.

It certainly isn’t for everyone, but at least we still have their superb self-titled album to kick back with (Critical Acclaim is still a wicked opener). Another recent track, (D)eath, can be heard in the background of the new footage, before cutting to an overhead shot of a city block. With so many collaborations in the works, including a Fortnite Lego event, we’re curious to see just how whacky Avenged Sevenfold will be.
If the band’s recent music videos are anything to go buy, then fans of Avenged Sevenfold are definitely in for a very trippy ride. Moreover, this event could also usher in Fortnite ICON Series skins, which may include frontman M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, and rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance. They’ll join Lewis Hamilton and Eminem as recent additions if this is the case, so don’t be surprised if you see M. Shadows hitting the griddy in one of the best battle royale games out there.
It is surprising to see Avenged Sevenfold collaborate with Fortnite, as the band has had an extensive relationship with the Call of Duty franchise. It began with them contributing the song Not Ready To Die to the map Call of the Dead, in the first Black Ops game. Since then, they have appeared in the post credits of Black Ops 2, while M. Shadows himself became a playable Operator in Black Ops 4.
Epic Games or Avenged Sevenfold is yet to confirm when this collaboration will launch, but we speculate it will be before The Big Bang seasonal event on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM ET, 11:00AM PST, and 7:00PM GMT. For now, you can check out these Fortnite Creative codes to entertain you until Avenged Sevenfold takes the stage.
