Alongside Shadow of the Erdtree, Bandai Namco and Thrustmaster could be treating us to stunning Elden Ring controllers to celebrate the DLC on PS5 and Xbox.

With the Elden Ring DLC on the horizon, a new leak has revealed not just the tentative release date for the anticipated expansion to one of the most highly regarded games of all time, but also a handful of incredible Elden Ring controllers. If you want some new console drip to go alongside Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, then it seems as though your wishes are coming true.

FromSoftware’s Elden Ring took the gaming world by storm in 2022, earning a rare 10/10 in our Elden Ring review, quickly becoming one of the best games and best Soulslike games of all time. With the Elden Ring DLC release date coming, it’s not all too surprising that a new collaboration would come about to celebrate the occasion. What we were not expecting were some of the best PS5 controllers and best Xbox controllers boasting a sleek new look.

Thanks to a leaked product listing on ‘DataBlitz’, which has since been taken down, it’s all but confirmed that we’ll be treated to an Elden Ring x Thrustmaster collaboration to release alongside the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which is also suggested to arrive in February. However, it’s not just any controller that’s getting a new look, it’s the Thrustmaster eSwap X2 Pro Controller. As the name suggests, what makes this controller so special is that you can swap modules around. With the sticks and d-pad being separate modules, you can easily switch the layout between an Xbox or PS5 controller, for example, at any time. Furthermore, it has much more durable sticks and buttons, remappable rear buttons, and even locking catches for the trigger buttons. All in all, it’s a great controller.

It’s worth pointing out that the leaked designs are sample submissions, so the designs could look a little different by the time they are released. Likewise, the leaked images suggest the controllers are “designed for Xbox”, so only Xbox players may be able to use them. However, it’s likely PS5 versions will also be available.

The first leaked product reveals a generic Elden Ring-themed controller, with gold dripping down the handles, gold buttons, and an image of a rune at the top. It’s simple and is right in line with Elden Ring’s branding, giving you the perfect controller to beat the upcoming DLC with, especially with all the bells and whistles this Elden Ring controller has. However, it’s the second batch of leaked ER controllers that have us excited.

The leaks also reveal a roadmap of future potential products “to be synchronized with 2025 Elden Ring major keybeat or new game expansion”, as the product page notes. Yes, this reveals that there could, in fact, be two Elden Ring expansions once all is said and done. The further two potential Elden Ring controllers are even more exciting than the first, revealing Malenia and Ranni character-themed controllers. With red accents accentuating the buttons, a scarlet-rot design on the handles, and a fierce flame at the centre, Malenia’s controller is for those who have triumphed against this challenging foe – perfect for Elden Ring master ‘Let Me Solo Her’. Ranni’s controller, on the other hand, has a more subtle design, with blue and white accents and handles, and a stunning moon image at the center. If you sided with Ranni in your playthrough, like we did, then this controller is the perfect pickup.
