Disney Dreamlight Valley Rich Soil Find: Wall-E and the player can be seen planting

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first major update saw Lion King’s Scar join the ranks of unlocked Disney characters in the game. And, much like every other character, he comes with his own set of quests to complete, starting with Nature & Nurture. One important part of this quest is that you’ll be tasked with foraging Rich Soil, a new crafting material added to the Collection. But, how do you find Disney Dreamlight Valley Rich Soil? We’ve put together a guide with everything you need to know about gathering this harder-to-find resource as well as some top tips to gain the ten you’ll need as part of Scar’s quest. If you haven’t started Scar’s quest yet, you’ll need to head to the haunting giant skull in Elephant Graveyard located in the Sunlit Plateau biome.

How to find Disney Dreamlight Valley Rich Soil

To find Rich Soil in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must plant and harvest crops which will drop Rich Soil at random. Be aware, you’ll need to plant a fair few crops to gain the ten Rich Soil you need to craft the Miracle Growth Elixir in Scar’s quest. Luckily, Rich Soil can be found in every single biome in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Unlike the other foraged crafting materials such as pebbles, sand, soil, and stone though, you can’t just dig Rich Soil out of the ground easily with your shovel. It’ll take you a long time if you do.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Rich Soil Find: The player can be seen harvesting plants

As mentioned, Rich Soil will drop at random when harvesting crops. So, you want to plant a crop that doesn’t take ages to grow and for this, you want to plant Wheat. Wheat seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow for 1 Star Coin each and you’ll need hundreds. Wheat also only takes one minute to grow so it’s most definitely the quickest way to harvest and reap the soil-y rewards.

Unfortunately, it does appear that taking advantage of the Hangout Bonus with any of your Villagers that you’ve assigned foraging to will not drop more of the Rich Soil but simply more Wheat. Or maybe we’re just unlucky… Still, it’s not a waste of time as you can sell the Wheat harvested to make back your Star Coins.
