What are the Destiny 2 The Final Shape Supers? That’s right, The Final Shape expansion is treating us to a suite of new Supers for our existing subclasses. While it’s not quite bringing balance to the selection of Light and Darkness subclasses, it’s always great to put a spin on old favorites. So, here’s everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 The Final Shape Supers and abilities on the way.

There’s nothing a Destiny 2 fan loves more than new Supers, except perhaps a new subclass, so it’s great news that the Destiny 2 The Final Shape release date will be bringing with it exciting new powers.

Destiny 2 The Final Shape Supers

The Destiny 2 The Final Shape Supers are:

  • Solar Warlock
  • Void Titan
  • Arc Hunter

As you might notice, there are not new Supers and abilities for each class, or each and every subclass. Rather, each class will receive one new Super and a handful of new Aspects for one of the Light subclasses, depending on the class. So, unlucky Darkness fans, as there’s no new Darkness subclass or Supers on the way quite yet.

Solar Warlock Super

The Warlock’s new Super in The Final Shape brings new abilities to Solar. As a call-back to Radiance from Destiny 1, this new Super will empower allies with Solar energy, providing Scorch to allies. Alongside the Hunter’s Golden Gun, this is the only other first-person Super in the game.

The official description reads:

“Unleash your inner phoenix with every attack. Buff your weapons, allies, and harness the living Solar flame.”

This Super and the associated Aspects will be great for Warlock Solar builds, while also giving your allies access to Scorch’s powerful effects whether they are using Solar or not. As such, there’s room for some potent combinations with this new Warlock Super in The Final Shape.

Void Titan Super

The Titan’s new Super in The Final Shape is a one-off ranged Super where you’ll throw massive Void axes. Allies can then pick them up and use them as melee weapons in combat.

The official description reads:

“Blades honed by the Void cut through the air. Lift them from the feet of your felled foes and continue the attack.”

This new Titan Super could be one of the most unique in the entire game, giving your team access to an element of the power too through the axes left behind. Nevertheless, this finally gives Titan’s access to another one-off Super besides Thundercrash while also giving Void some extra firepower.

Arc Hunter Super

The Arc’s new Super in The Final Shape evolves the typical lightning-infused polearm playstyle even further. You can throw an Arc throwing knife, then blink to it and deal massive melee damage. Alongside this, you can also chain this attack up to three times.

The official description reads:

“Dagger in hand, become the Arc flashing in the darkness; the edge of the storm your enemies cannot outrun.”

Perhaps most excitingly though, activating the new Hunter Super will also Amplify nearby allies. With how powerful this effect is, this feature alone makes it an interesting Super to say the least.

Perhaps most importantly though, the conclusion to the 10-year Light and Darkness saga won’t bring balance in the selection of subclasses as many players thought. Darkness powers were late arrivals – with Stasis debuting Darkness subclasses in 2020 – so we’ve had to wait years hoping for balance. However, while there’s still one less Darkness subclass overall, these new Supers will add variety to every subclass we’ve got access to.

With all this information about the Destiny 2 The Final Shape Supers, the expansion can’t come soon enough. We can’t wait to see all the new build possibilities that, as the best Destiny 2 Titan build, Destiny 2 Warlock build, and Destiny 2 Hunter build are already brimming with unique playstyles.
