Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost lets you ride Starhorse

One of the many epic cosmetics for the 2022 Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost lets Guardians live out the dream of riding the game's mysterious horse

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Starhorse sparrow: three guardians on sparrows next to Starhorse

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost returns for 2022, and in this year’s spooky extravaganza we see Haunted Lost Sectors return, the Mech armour line drop, and an event card crammed with rewards to earn. The cosmetics are looking amazing as well, including one that lets you fulfil a dream many Destiny 2 players have had for a long time.

As part of Festival of the Lost this year, a new sparrow has been added that is reportedly named Majestic Whinny, according to Destiny Bulletin. This sparrow resembles one of the most iconic characters to be added to Destiny 2 in recent times – Starhorse.

Yep, the magnificent yet mysterious horse that puts Guardians through the Dares of Eternity game show-style dungeon now has its own sparrow. While the only interaction we’ve had with Starhorse is walking up to it to rinse it for rewards and bounties, you can now gleefully gallop your way across the solar system with your own starry steed.

Other incredible Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost rewards include the new Mech-inspired sniper rifle called Mechabre, makeshift Halloween masks inspired by Caiatl and the Witch Queen herself, Savathun, and adorable Ghost shells resembling toffee apples and spiders.

While it might be disappointing to see Haunted Lost Sectors return as the main activity, rather than a new innovation, there is at least one brand new spooky sector on the EDZ this time around.
