Console wars have raged on since the dawn of time, or at least it feels that way anyway. PlayStation 5 owners will be quick to defend God of War Ragnarok, while Xbox Series X|S fans are eager to get their hands on Starfield. Each platform has its merits, but God of War actor Christopher Judge has a different perspective on the matter – and he used the BAFTA Game Awards to let it be known.
After enlightening God of War Ragnarok fans with a spellbinding speech at The Game Awards, Kratos actor Christopher Judge collects the award for Performer In a Leading Role at the BAFTA Game Awards. While Judge’s speech is considerably shorter than his now-iconic appearance in Geoff Keighley’s showcase, Judge didn’t mince words when it came to addressing the wider gaming community.
“Thank you to the fans. Be easier on each other, you have more in common than what separates you,” Judge says toward the end of his speech. Furthermore, Judge adds that “no matter what platform you love, no matter what game you love, you’re still part of the gaming community.” The actor jokes that the aforementioned community should “give each other a break” regarding debates around which platform may or not be better.
God of War Ragnarok has received enormous acclaim since its release last year. The Santa Monica Studio title bagged six BAFTA awards at the recent event, with a total of fifteen nominations. It is also the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation game in history, with over 5.1 million units sold in the first week of release.
Judge certainly does strike a powerful chord here, as it’s a brilliant time for players to embrace the following year for gaming releases. While The Loadout’s God of War Ragnarok review might inspire you to try out the PS5 exclusive, the fun doesn’t end with Kratos’ latest adventure.
We’ve got moments like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 release date to put on our calendars, which is among the lineup of upcoming PS5 games to get incredibly hyped for.
