The best ZRG Warzone loadout

You should have aimed for the head with our Warzone ZRG loadout for the remarkably unique and powerful sniper rifle.

You can no longer use the ZRG in Warzone because the original version of the game was shut down. However, this guide will be updated and will come in handy if the ZRG ever returns.

Sniping enthusiasts had a brand new toy to play with in Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 2 of the Black Ops Cold War era – the hard-hitting ZRG 20mm sniper rifle. Introduced midway through the second season, this sniper offered a slightly sluggish but powerful method of sending enemies to the Gulag.

While the best Kar98k Warzone loadout remained the supreme choice for most snipers, the ZRG was still a very viable option and one of the best snipers Warzone had to offer. In most stats categories, it sat snugly between the HDR and the Kar98k and had the potential to one-shot enemies in the head or chest, depending on your attachments.

Unfortunately, with Warzone no longer being integrated with Black Ops Cold War, the ZRG is not currently available to use. With that said, there’s nothing Call of Duty loves more than returning old favorites, so there’s a chance it could return in the future. Nevertheless, this was the setup we used to dominate in one of the best battle royale games and best FPS games.

Best ZRG Warzone loadout

This was the best ZRG loadout in Warzone:

  • Agency Moderator
  • 43.9” Combat Recon
  • Bruiser Grip
  • 5 Rnd Mag
  • Speed Tape

This particular build focused on maximising bullet velocity and stability to make this a lethal long-range sniper. Your ADS time was slow, so if that is something that was important to you, you were best off with the Kar98k. However, if not, this was a great weapon and a top build.

To accompany your ZRG, we recommended you bring a close-range slayer in case you got pushed or were in the final stages of a match and needed something that didn’t have a high-magnification scope. After all, you don’t always want to be inspecting the pores on your enemy’s nose. Our best FFAR Warzone loadout could help you out in that department.

For the lineup of perks, Cold Blooded was a good choice for stealthy snipers, Overkill was a must to get that FFAR into the loadout, and Amped made the perfect third perk. In general, these were great options to use in almost any of the best Warzone loadouts, and that was no different here.

Likewise, a Heartbeat Sensor was always a good pick for your tactical equipment, and either C4s or Thermite Grenades were the best lethal equipment to run in Warzone.

So there you have it, the best Warzone ZRG loadout that we used when this sick-looking sniper ruled the roost. It’s a shame it’s no longer available, though we’re hoping it returns one day so we can get back to taking names at long range.
