Sniping enthusiasts have a brand new toy to play with in Call of Duty: Warzone – the hard-hitting ZRG 20mm sniper rifle. Introduced midway through Season Two of Black Ops Cold War, the sniper offers a slightly sluggish but powerful method of sending enemies to the Gulag.
While the best Kar98k Warzone loadout will likely remain the supreme choice for snipers, the ZRG is still a very viable option and one of the best snipers Warzone has to offer. In most stats, this sits snugly between the HDR and the Kar98k and has the potential to one-shot enemies in the head or chest, depending on your attachments. The statistical breakdown by YouTuber ‘JGOD’ in the video further down this guide will show you just where it stands in Warzone’s current lineup of snipers.
But what’s the best loadout to run the ZRG in, and which attachments should you bolt onto it to make it as deadly and accurate as possible?
Best ZRG Warzone loadout
JGOD’s build for the ZRG sniper in Warzone looks to be the best way to set the weapon up.
This is the best ZRG loadout in Warzone:
- Agency Moderator
- 43.9” Combat Recon
- Bruiser Grip
- 5 Rnd Mag
- Speed Tape
This particular build focuses on maximising bullet velocity and stability to make this a lethal long-range sniper. Your ADS time will be slow, so if that’s something that’s important to you maybe stick with the Kar98k. However, if not, this is a great weapon and a top build.
To accompany your ZRG, you’ll need a close-range slayer in case you get pushed or are in the final stages of a match. Our best FFAR Warzone loadout may be able to help you out in that department.
For the lineup of perks, Cold Blooded may be a good choice for stealthy snipers, Overkill is a must to get that FFAR into the loadout, and Amped would make the perfect third perk.
A Heartbeat Sensor is always a good pick for your tactical equipment, and either C4s or Thermite Grenades are the best lethals to run in Warzone right now.
