You can no longer use the AMP63 in Warzone because this version of the game was shut down. However, this guide will be updated and will come in handy if the AMP63 ever returns. It is still available in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, however.
After the nightmare that was the fully automatic, dual-wield, 80-round magazine monster called the Sykov, fans of Call of Duty: Warzone were terrified to learn that another pistol was entering the game that was just as overpowered.
The AMP63, which was added towards the end of Season 3 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, looked on paper to be yet another super strong sidearm. However, lessons were learned from the destruction the Sykov created as the AMP63 was just shy of the top of our list of the best Warzone guns, mostly because it felt like an extremely situational gun. While the Sykov’s high ammo capacity meant it could blitz through teams in Trios or Quads, the same couldn’t be said for the AMP63.
Nevertheless, it’s still a shame that we can’t use this trusty sidearm in Warzone anymore since it’s integration with Black Ops Cold War has concluded in favor of more recent entries. You can, however, return to Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer offerings if you’d still like a taste.
Best AMP63 Warzone loadout
The best Warzone AMP63 loadout was:
- Sound Suppressor
- 7.2” Task Force Barrel
- Microflex LED
- STANAG 25 Rnd Mag
- Airborne Elastic Wrap
With the AMP63’s drawbacks in mind, this was not too effective in Trios or Quads, but the STANAG 25 Rnd Mag means you had ample bullets to take down a solo player or a team of two.
With this AMP63 build, you had the delicious fire rate of a full-auto pistol but with decent recoil control. Was it as good as a Sykov or one of the top SMGs in the game? Not really, but it still performed really well.
If you were a lover of sniping, then the AMP63 was the perfect sniper support for a Kar98k, but if you rathered the dependability of a long-range assault rifle, the best RAM-7 Warzone loadout or best AMAX Warzone loadout were the way to go instead.
One advantage of running the AMP63 was that it was a secondary weapon, so there was no need for Overkill in your lineup of perks. With that in mind, we recommended using Double Time, Restock, and Amped for this class.
For the equipment, we always had Semtex and Stun Grenades in our back pocket to quickly take out foes or lock down an area for a short moment. This gave us enough time to swap to the AMP or push the enemy if we already had it drawn.
The AMP63 didn’t break the meta like the Sykov, but it was a fun alternative to use in Solos and Duos. Plus, it also looked awesome, especially if you had the more high-tech bundle variant design.
