There aren’t many guns in Call of Duty: Warzone that split opinion more than the RAM-7 assault rifle. The Modern Warfare-era gun has very low recoil, making it easy to use, but its damage numbers have always been cause for concern for some players.
However, following an update in Season 3, the RAM has its time in the spotlight. With the CR-56 AMAX getting a long-overdue nerf to its damage, the RAM-7 actually boasts one of the best time to kill stats for ARs. It’s a fast-firing weapon, and it does requires a clean line of sight at an opponent to land all the bullets you need to down them, but if you can choose the right time to strike the RAM can be lethal.

This is the tried and tested formula for the ultimate RAM-7 Warzone loadout. This class sets the RAM up to be a beast at mid-range and long-range gunfights. Don’t believe us? While long-range ARs are usually paired with one of the game’s best SMGs (you may find something suitable in our best MP5 Warzone loadout guide), the RAM also makes for a great support option for snipers. It’s surprisingly good at holding its own at the usual SMG range – though you’d likely want to swap out the 3x scope for either a reflex/ holo sight or something like a Stippled Grip Tape to crank up the ADS speed.
