Vanguard BAR loadout: a wooden barrelled BAR assault rifle set against a black background

Call of Duty Vanguard is no longer supported with additional content or significant updates, and players have largely moved on to more recent releases. Nevertheless, Vanguard’s multiplayer is still available and this loadout is usable.

In Call of Duty Vanguard, there was a wide variety of assault rifles to choose from. For this Vanguard loadout guide, we took a look at the BAR. It’s a gun that stems from the historical Second World War battles that were reimagined in Vanguard and whilst it was technically classed as an assault rifle, it also shared elements with LMGs due to its high damage numbers.

It’s not a weapon you wanted to run-and-gun with though as the low-fire rate didn’t fare well in close quarters. It did, however, excel at longer ranges. So, you wanted to get your loadout sorted, get yourself in position, and play with patience to get the best out of this hard-hitting assault rifle.

With Call of Duty: Vanguard introducing a new attachment system that offered ten slots, there was an opportunity to customize your weapons at a whole new level. So, considering there was quite a bit to choose from when it came to kitting out the BAR, we put together the optimum BAR loadout for you to use in Vanguard multiplayer.

Best BAR Vanguard class

The best CoD Vanguard BAR loadout was:

  • Muzzle: A2 Flash Hider
  • Barrel: Chariot 18” Rapid
  • Optic: Zeiss G16 2.5x
  • Stock: None
  • Underbarrel: None
  • Magazine: 8mm Jaeger 20 Round
  • Ammo Type: Subsonic
  • Rear Grip: Rubber Grip
  • Proficiency: Hardscope
  • Kit: Fast Melee

This BAR class was geared towards recoil control, increasing fire rate, and bolstering the BAR’s already high damage output that can take out a player in just three shots. It also didn’t hurt that the Subsonic ammo kept you off the radar.

If you were looking to up the recoil control even more and extend the BAR’s range when you wanted to post up somewhere safer, we recommended adding Hardscope as your proficiency attachment. Even at range, you can’t stop opponents from getting a little too close for comfort, and for those instances, we recommended the Fast Melee as your kit attachment.

We also suggested using the 8mm Jaeger magazine, which gave you plenty of extra benefits, including better recoil control, in exchange for a small drop in bullet velocity and damage.

That’s everything we’ve got for you on the best Vanguard BAR class, but if you fancied yourself as a bit of a sharpshooter, why not take a glance at our best Vanguard Kar98k loadout guide too? Also, be sure to check out our best Vanguard guns guide.
