Season 5 for MW2 is almost here and we now have the full list of MW2 Season 5 guns and weapons. This season we are getting a pretty sizeable drop of tools to use in multiplayer, as well as a returning favorite that no one had on their bingo card.
Every few months, we hope that some new weapons can shift the list of the best Modern Warfare 2 weapons to give us something exciting and refreshing to try out. However, a gun doesn’t need to be meta-defining to land in our list of best Modern Warfare 2 loadouts. But will these new weapons take up a spot?
MW2 Season 5 guns and weapons
The six MW2 Season 5 guns and weapons are:
- FR Advancer – assault rifle
- Carrack .300 – sniper rifle
- M13C – assault rifle
- To be confirmed handgun
- To be confirmed SMG
- To be confirmed melee weapon

FR Advancer – assault rifle
The FR Advancer will be available through the battle pass for free, for everyone and is the FAMAS from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). As such, we expect it to be just as potent in matches.
Carrack .300 – sniper rifle
Offering a unique design and a lot of power semi-automatic sniper rifle will be one to watch out for in the new season. It will hopefully be able to keep up with the other bolt actions in the category. This gun is unlocked through the battle pass and will be free for everyone.
M13C – assault rifle
Dropping in the middle of Season 5 the M13C will be a great backup for any of the other weapons in your loadout. Its unlock requirements haven’t been revealed yet.
Are the MW2 Season 5 guns worth unlocking?
Overall, it is worth unlocking these guns in Season 5 while you can and before Activision and Infinity Ward nerf them (which is likely) The FR Advancer and the M13C are likely to be strong weapons out of the game once they are introduced.
The .300 Carrack is likely to be harder to use in matches and not enter the meta, so you may want to focus your unlock efforts elsewhere.
