Born and raised in Los Angeles – the host city for VCT Champions 2023 – Gekko leads a “tight-knit crew of calamitous creatures” into battle: Dizzy, Wingman, Mosh Pit, and Thrash. These adorable bundles of joy each constitute one of Gekko’s abilities, and you can check out his full kit right here.

Speaking on Gekko’s Mexican roots, narrative writer Joe Killeen says that East LA was chosen as his home due to its “longstanding, generational connections to Mexico”.
Riot also appears to have gone the whole nine yards to ensure the agent’s representation of his roots were as authentic as possible, with Killeen noting the studio consulted with members of its Riot Unidos Identity group, first generation immigrants, and “Mexican-American focus group research interviews”, among others.
Needless to say, a lot of love has gone into crafting Gekko, and we can’t wait to see how he performs in the Valorant ranks. We definitely hope he takes a top spot on our Valorant tier list, though admittedly that’s because we’re a little bit in love with his buddies.
