The Last of Us PS5 remake gives Ellie God of War and Uncharted drip

The Last of US Part 1 PS5 remake is almost here, and Ellie will be apparently getting outfits inspired by PlayStation IP like God of War and Gran Turismo

The Last of Us Part 1’s PS5 remake arrives very soon, and it turns out you’ll be able to represent some of your other favourite PlayStation-exclusives as well once you get your hands on it.

As spotted by Push Square, ‘Naughty Dog Central’ on Twitter has revealed that in The Last of Us PS5 remake, Ellie will be getting cosmetic items that feature logos or artwork from various other Sony IPs. Tatty t-shirts can be obtained that showcase God of War, Returnal, Resistance, Gran Turismo, Horizon, Uncharted, and many more.

As well as the t-shirts, there’s yet another great callback to an older PlayStation classic that has already appeared in several easter eggs in The Last of Us Part 2 – Jak and Daxter. Ellie will be able to equip a pair of goggles similar to those worn by Jak, and a Daxter backpack can also be obtained.

When the TLOU PS5 remake was first revealed, many were critical of the price tag for what is yet another version of Naughty Dog’s classic. However, as The Last of Us remake release date nears closer, those sentiments appear to have been forgotten as more screenshots and footage emerges showcasing the graphical improvements that have been made.

Add on top of this endearing touches like these PlayStation-inspired cosmetics and the fact that moments such as the famous giraffe scene will be enhanced with the DualSense’s haptic feedback, then you’ve got a remake that should feel fairly different and fresh compared to a simple remaster.

The Last of Us Part 1 is already considered an all-time great on older consoles, but this remake should cement it as one of the best PS5 games that have been released so far.
