Now, we don’t want to alarm anyone, but a new The Day Before release date has just been spotted in the survival shooter’s official Discord server – and it comes with some very bold claims for fans of this mysterious game. If you’re someone who has been eagerly awaiting the launch of The Day Before, you’ll be pleased to know that there’s an end in sight – hopefully.

In a message shared by the head moderator of The Day Before’s Discord server ‘Kentain’, developer Fntastic is pleased to announce that “the game will officially release on November 10th 2023 without any further delays” expected.

Continuing on, Kentain expresses that the developers want to thank everyone for their patience and ensures that the development team has been “working hard to ensure that the game meets [their] high standards” – and that they are “confident it will be worth the wait”, which is always good. This announcement of the new The Day Before release date isn’t the only interesting thing to come out of this message, though.

“As we get closer to the release date, we will be conducting a beta test for the game”, Kentain adds. “This will give players the opportunity to try out the game before it is released and provide valuable feedback that we can use to improve the final product.”

“We will provide more details on the beta test as we approach the release date, so be sure to stay tuned for updates. We look forward to sharing [the] game with you and hope you enjoy playing it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.”

If you’re someone who has been keeping up to date with this game’s development cycle, you’ll know that The Day Before is so mysterious, even the Discord mods are sceptical. So, the fact that we seemingly have a final release date booked in and a beta test planned is – without a doubt – good news. However, what about the fact that The Day Before was facing Steam and YouTube head on amid copyright issues just weeks ago?

Well, Kentain added in a second announcement message that the game “should be on Steam”, clarifying that “the team is working on it”. So, you know, that’s quite good news? It isn’t the most concrete of confirmation, but you take what you can get. With any luck, we should learn a lot more about this game soon.

It could be one of the best Xbox survival games and best PS5 survival games, if the stars align and everything goes right. Although, with all the uncertainty we’ve seen so far, we’re not counting our chickens just yet.
