One mystery running throughout The Callisto Protocol is the larger forces at work with the Warden, controlling Black Iron Prison and what goes on. But, in order to get a better idea you will need to uncover the mystery of Kallipolis in The Callisto Protocol.
Thankfully this small chain of mysteries to come across isn’t too taxing with only two spots in the game for you to visit to be able to get all the information. But, unless you know where they are you may have to begin a new playthrough as chapter select in The Callisto Protocol isn’t available. So, it’s best to know where the two locations are from the start of your run through the game.
The Callisto Protocol mystery of Kallipolis and secret rooms locations
To solve the mystery of Kallipolis in The Callisto Protocol you will need to find two secret rooms that hold audio logs and other information. These two secret rooms can be found in the following places:
- Secret Room 1 location: Found in the ‘Aftermath’ chapter along the path through a vent by Supply B426
- Secret Room 2 location: Found in the ‘Below’ chapter along a path just by the power station control room

The Callisto Protocol Secret Room 1 location
During the ‘Aftermath’ chapter about halfway through you will eventually see a locked door for Supply B426. Just to the right of it is a small vent you can climb through with blood stains by it. As a quick signifier, this vent and the Supply B426 room is found before the enemy smashes through the glass after you go down a set of stairs.
Follow the path through the vent and continue through the tunnels. Eventually, you will see a place to drop down. Do so and head towards the light. This is the first secret room. Despite it looking like a trap there aren’t any enemies down here, just an audio log and chest for you to pick up items from. Once you have grabbed the audio log head back up via the ladder in the corridor.
The Callisto Protocol Secret Room 2 location
Halfway through the ‘Below’ chapter a lot later on in the game you will eventually reach the control room for the power station. After you climb up the ladder to get to the room, you will see a gap in the wall in front of you. Squeeze through it as the secret room is down here.
The path here is pretty easy to follow but there will be some enemies embedded into the walls so be ready to attack them and kill them or stealth your way past them. Drop down and then continue onwards, following the light to find the second room, with a gap in the wall to the side for you to squeeze through to gain access. In here you can find another audio log and a chest to open and one of the enemies that grab and pull you to kill.
Once finding this room you will also get ‘The Commonality achievement or trophy depending on your platform.
Little is revealed about Kallipolis in The Callisto Protocol but it appears to be some kind of secret group who met in secret. They seem to be the same group shown at the end of the game once you get to defeat the final boss in The Callisto Protocol.
