It’s safe to say that we’re pretty darn excited to get our hands on Nintendo’s latest entry into its’ splat-filled multiplayer shooter series Splatoon. However, when actually is the Splatoon 3 release time on Nintendo Switch? We have known about the Splatoon 3 release date for quite some time now, but not so much about the specifics. We just want to know when we can play – and we know you do, too.
So, that’s why we’re not going to beat around the bush with it. We have everything there is to know about the Splatoon 3 release time below. Just, don’t get your hopes up if you’re looking for specifics. Right now, there hasn’t been an official announcement from Nintendo detailing the specifics.
But, that doesn’t mean we can’t work it out based on the release of other Nintendo games on Nintendo Switch. It just means you need to take all of the following with a pinch of salt.
That being said, we think that the digital version of Splatoon 3 is going to unlock at 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST on September 9 – just like other games that launch via the Nintendo eShop, like Xenoblade Chronicles 3. There is a chance that this title could launch at 00:01 local time on September 9, however this is unlikely due to the fact that this is largely a multiplayer title where simultaneous global access is expected.
What does this mean for the multiplayer servers if you’re picking up a physical copy? We just don’t know for sure – they could very-well be disabled until the time above. However, we’re expecting Nintendo to clear some of this up ahead of launch. So, with that in mind, keep an eye on this space and we’ll be sure to update it with the latest information – if we need to – when it is available.
