New PlayStation Store sale slashes prices on these PS5 Batman games

If you haven’t got the Batman Arkham Collection already, what are you doing? Now is your chance to get them on PS5 for a bargain price.

Some of the greatest superhero games owe a lot to Rocksteady Studios. Batman Arkham Asylum elevated the genre, offering a definitive experience inside the cowl of DC Comics’ greatest detective. With Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League on the horizon, the next chapter of the Arkhamverse, this is the perfect time to dive into these games – with some enhancements, of course. The Batman Arkham Collection is the best way to do this, and it is currently on sale.

We’re still hoping that Arkham Origins gets the remaster treatment one day, but in the meantime, some of the best PS5 games you can play are undoubtedly within the Arkhamverse. Technically, this collection is for the PlayStation 4, but the magic of backwards compatibility means you can enjoy Rocksteady’s trilogy on current-gen hardware. For $5.99/£6.49, you’ll get access to Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight. Typically, Arkham Knight alone retails for around $25 upwards at full price, while Arkham Asylum and Arkham City aren’t available separately on PS4 and PS5.

The good news is that each can be downloaded individually with this collection, allowing you to save precious SSD space when you’re done pummelling The Joker’s face or roaming around in the Batmobile. While we found Arkham Knight’s story to be a little disappointing in its final act, the game is worth it alone just to traverse through an open-world Gotham City.

You can walk the streets of Gotham with an excellent array of skins, inspired by decades of comics, movies, and TV shows alike. Highlights include the stunning costume for Ben Affleck’s iteration in Batman v Superman, as well as Robert Pattinson’s grounded take in The Batman. Most of these skins are accompanied by a Batmobile variant too.

Even though the game was released in 2015, the addition of Pattinson’s costume was a welcome addition – we just want his car to complete the set.

The next chapter of the Arkhamverse comes with the Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League release date. We think it could be one of the best multiplayer games of the year, especially with promising post-launch DLC like a multiversal version of The Joker as a playable character and nifty social features.
