Pokémon Scarlet and PokÉmon Violet Paldea region
The Paldea region in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet is based off of Spain and Portugal (the Iberian Peninsula) and features a number of distinct environments. These include a large canyon to the east, a huge lake in the north, and a giant volcano in the centre of the island it seems.
One of the large cities can be seen in the south of the island, which appears to lead to where the player will begin their journey. The Paldea region can be explored in any way you want, there is no golden path. So, with the new mounts you can visit any location at any point.
This means exploring the Paldea map and region will be far more about player choice than in previous games.
Paldea also looks like it will be one of the biggest worlds yet in the series and the variety of environments should help keep the map feeling fresh and exciting.
