When is the New World beta end date?

Here's when you'll lose your New World beta progress

A ranger taking on a tree-like enemy in a dank hollow

The beta for Amazon Games’ brand new MMORPG game, New World, has been largely successful since its kick off on July 20, with Steam Charts noting a peak of 200,000 players adventuring on the island of Aeternum.

In our New World preview, we were enamoured with the game’s sound design, as well as the surprising amount of variety in its “classless” combat system – something which combat lead Dave Hall tells us will help prevent tank or healer droughts in instanced PvE content. As such, we’re anything but surprised that the beta has been such a hit.

However, New World’s beta has also had its wobbles. Many struggled to get into the game when it first launched due to demand – though this is perhaps more of a positive for the studio than a negative. Additionally, some users have reported that the beta is bricking Nvidia RTX 3090 graphics cards, with Amazon Games responding that the issue was unrelated to the game. The studio has since implemented a patch, capping menu screen FPS as this was perceived by players to be the cause of the issue.

If you’re still eager to get involved with New World’s beta, you don’t have long left so you might want to do so sharpish.

New World beta end date

New World’s beta will end on August 2. The beta originally kicked off on July 20, giving players the best part of two weeks to fight, forage, and find their way around Aeternum.
