Some of the leaks above have already started to be proven true with the following originally leaked characters joining the game:
- LeBron James (Space Jam: A New Legacy) – Released alongside the open beta
Almost all of these characters were from the original leaker who revealed MultiVersus ahead of its official announcement, and some are reportedly further along than others. For example, The Powerpuff Girls, The Animaniacs, Duck Dodgers, Ben 10, Scorpion, Ted Lasso, Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, and Fred Flintstone are, according to this leak, not as far into development as the rest of these characters.
On top of that, the same leaker said that Harry Potter and Mad Max were initially supposed to be a part of the launch roster, but have not been worked on recently, suggesting they could either have been delayed or scrapped entirely. We will just have to wait to find out for sure though.
However, some of the newer characters, like the Wicked Witch, Beetlejuice, and more have been leaked via voice files which were added to the game.
