October is finally here and Halloween events are starting to pop up in all the best PS5 games, the best Xbox games, and even MultiVersus – which is one of the best fighting games out there at the moment. Now, there may not be any limited time modes to talk about right now – unlike Apex Legends’ Fight or Fright event, for example – but there is a brand new currency for players to earn and a selection of MultiVersus Halloween skins we’re frankly obsessed with.
From October 15 to November 15, MultiVersus players will be able to earn the new event-limited Candy currency just by playing the game. Win or lose, you’re going to be able to pick up 10 Candy a game at the very least – and there’s a chance to earn quite a bit more if you’re using a Halloween-themed skin, Combat Stripe, or Combat Gizmo during this event period.
Using this Candy, you’ll be able to head to the Candy shop to unlock a Pumpkin Patch profile icon, a Jack-O-Lantern emote sticker, and two of MultiVersus’ upcoming Halloween skins: Mummy Reindog and Calico Cake (which is a skin for Jake).
However, that’s not all. In fact, that barely scratches the surface of the Halloween skins on offer in MultiVersus this spooktober. Although, you can check out the two skins we’ve talked about below before we continue.
If you’re sitting on some Gleamium – and you can find out how to get Gleamium in MultiVersus right here – you’ll be able to pick up a selection of other skins for some of the game’s most popular fighters.
Inspired by slightly more classic Halloween costumes, players will be able to pick up Vampire Tom and Jerry for 800 Gleamium, Frankenstein Iron Giant for 1,500 Gleamium, and the wonderful Witch Velma for 1,500 Gleamium. You can check all three of these out below:
In addition to this, DC Comics fans will be able to pick up both Black Lantern Superman and Black Lantern Wonder Woman for 2,000 Gleamium a piece. Interestingly, this Wonder Woman skin actually changes her weapon too – something we haven’t seen before in this fighting game.
As you can see below, both skins are very well-designed and a must-have for players who main these fighters.
While MultiVersus’ patch 1.04 nerfs Gizmo, Rick, and Velma as Stripe arrives, it’s safe to say that we’re thrilled with the seasonal offerings. If anything, we can only hope that everyone else on the MultiVersus roster gets a Halloween skin at some point. You can check out more about MultiVersus’ Halloween event right here – and an overview of the latest MultiVersus patch notes post here.
