Player First Games’ MultiVersus is a chaotic free-to-play fighter with playable characters from DC Comics, Adventure Time, Scooby-Doo, and more. It’s still in open beta, but a very clear MultiVersus tier list of who’s the best is starting to form and Garnet – from Steven Universe – is right up there. If you want to learn some of the best MultiVersus Garnet combos, you’re in the right place.
What makes Garnet a good fighter to learn, though? Well, as a Bruiser archetype character, they hit hard and is at their best when they’re stuck in the middle of a brawl – something you’ll find yourself doing a lot of in MultiVersus. Of course, knowing the best MultiVersus Garnet combos is only half of it, you need to know the best perks for Garnet in MultiVersus, too.
But, don’t let that put you off of learning to play them. They really are a lot of fun to fight with and they’re one MultiVersus fighter that doesn’t look like they’ll be nerfed ar the moment – which is always a bonus.

Upwards Knockback Combo
You might think this combo is simple, but don’t let that fool you – you’re going to need to make sure you’re following your opponent in the air to finish things off and land that final attack. Other than that, though, you should find yourself able to get to grips with this attack fairly quickly.

Knockback Ranged Combo
This is another simple-looking combo, but don’t let that fool you. This is going to help you deal considerable amounts of damage and it could bag you a ring-out or two if the situation is right. If the situation isn’t right, this will still get you some breathing room – which you could use to attack with one of the other combos on this list.
- Input on PlayStation: Left stick down + square button, left stick side + square button, left stick side + triangle button, square button
- Input on Xbox: Left stick down + X button, left stick side + X button, left stick side Y button, X button

High Damage Upwards Ring-Out Combo
This combo is a bit of a Ronseal – as in, it does what it says on the tin. If you’re looking to knock your opponents out and there’s some free airspace above you, this could be a simple-yet-effective way of doing that. If they’re not quite on enough damage, this will also help tee your opponents up for any link-up attacks with your pairing – if you’re playing in teams, anyway.
- Input on PlayStation: Left stick side + square button, left stick up + square button, X button, X button, left stick up + triangle button
- Input on Xbox: Left stick side + X button, left stick up + X button, A button, A button, left stick up + Y button
- Input on PC: A/D key + J key, W key + J key, space, space, W key + K key
Back and Forth Brawl Combo
This is easily one of the hardest Garnet combos on this list, so don’t worry if you don’t master it first time. You’re going to want to set up Garnet’s Gem Dash marker at the start of the combo and keep your opponent between you and the marker. This allows for the second Ground Special (Down) input to add one more attack to the combo – as you grab an enemy on your way back to the marker.
- Input on PlayStation: Left stick down + triangle button, left stick down + square button, left stick side + square button, left stick side + triangle button, left stick down + triangle button
- Input on Xbox: Left stick down + Y button, left stick down + X button, left stick side + X button, left stick side + Y button, left stick down + Y button
- Input on PC: S key + K key, S key + J key, A/D key + J key, A/D key + K key, S key + K key
We know this isn’t a full examination of what Garnet has to offer, but these combos should help you find your feet – no matter which one of the MultiVersus maps and stages you’re fighting on. This is one of the best fighting games out there right now and we can’t wait to see who joins Garnet on the MultiVersus roster in the future.
