Merry Christmas from The Loadout

Here's to another year of esports and streaming!

Fortnite Christmas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. That’s right, it’s Christmas, and you have our permission to boot up the games you found in your stockings this morning, stuff your face with Terry’s Chocolate Orange, and get stuck in with the rest of them online.

We’ve all got our Christmas traditions, whether it’s getting up early to finally unwrap that game you’ve been telling your family about for months or dusting off the old Playstation and booting up something the whole family can get involved with. Or in your case, reading The Loadout to catch up on all the news this festive period.

And well, we appreciate it. I know I speak on behalf of the whole team here when I say the reception to the website in the last couple of months has been nothing short of incredible, so thank you.

While we’ve got your attention though, why don’t you take a look at some of our festive features we’ve been working hard on in the last couple of weeks. Jamie spent a day at the McLaren Technology Centre two weeks ago to bring you this interview with Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, who talks sim racing, streaming, and more. We got Mike Stubbs to talk about how Giants Software made Farming Simulator an entertaining esport and Aron Garst spoke to some PUBG pros about the current state of the esports scene.

If that’s not enough, we’ve even broken down some of the weirdest Twitch clips of the year, from exploding lobsters to Untitled Goose Game cosplay just to give you a few laughs.

We’ll be posting little snippets of news in the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled, but in the meantime have a wonderful Christmas and see you in 2020.
