Horizon Call of the Mountain confirmed for June 2 State of Play show

Horizon Call of the Mountain State of Play confirmed: An image of a robot leg and a man looking from a boat

Horizon Call of the Mountain, the first spin-off title for Guerrilla Games’ Horizon franchise, is coming and PlayStation has just confirmed that the PSVR 2 title is going to appear at the June 2 State of Play presentation. This showcase of upcoming PS5 games and PSVR 2 titles is going to kick off this year’s Summer Game Fest in a spectacular way – and Horizon Call of the Mountain looks to build upon the wonderful world players have seen built upon with Horizon Forbidden West earlier this year.

On June 1 at 16:15 GMT, PlayStation shared a short clip from the Horizon Call of the Mountain reveal trailer on social media alongside the following statement: “Tomorrow: Get a new look at Horizon Call of the Mountain for PSVR 2 during State of Play.”

We know, we know… This doesn’t actually give us a lot of information. However, it marks the first confirmation of what we can expect to see from the State of Play on June 2. Interestingly, the leaked line-up circling online doesn’t actually mention this game – so, we could be in for a few more surprises when it comes to the showcase itself.

If you want to see PlayStation’s tweet yourself, you can below:

The leaked State of Play line-up, which you can see for yourself here, suggests that games like Stray, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and Street Fighter 6 are on the way. These suggestions aren’t outrageous, but the leak doesn’t mention the Horizon PSVR 2 game – so take it with a pinch of salt.
