Can you respec your character in Hogwarts Legacy?

Are you wondering if you can respec your character in Hogwarts Legacy? Let us tell you if it is currently possible in the present iteation of the game.

Hogwarts Legacy Respec: Fig can be seen

As with many RPGs, you are hopefully expecting to come across a Hogwarts Legacy respec option as you make your way through the game. But, have Avalanche implemented it or are you locked into using what you have already bought?

In this guide, we will go over the answer. Being able to respec characters in Hogwarts Legacy would be incredibly useful as it will allow you to alter the Hogwarts Legacy Talents that you have equipped. That way you can adjust your character to focus on new spells you have unlocked or pick some of the best Talents in Hogwarts Legacy.

You cannot currently respec your character in Hogwarts Legacy. The feature could be added down the line in the future, but it could just as easily never be implemented by Avalanche.

Without any options in the menu or to adjust your specialisation in Traits and Talents later in the game, you are locked into having what you have already bought until you get Talent Points in Hogwarts Legacy as you level up in Hogwarts Legacy. Thankfully though, there isn’t a chance of missing anything as you can increase your level enough to earn everything.

While unfortunate, hopefully, we will see the ability to respec in Hogwarts Legacy soon in a patch. For even more character tips as you play check out our Hogwarts Legacy walkthrough which goes over some of the best Hogwarts Legacy builds and best Hogwarts Legacy Spells you can use.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.

While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
