While the common room of your chosen House may be the best, you’ll may want to check out the other rooms, but can you enter other House’s common rooms in Hogwarts Legacy. We’ve all seen many of the iconic House’s rooms in other forms of media, but it would be nice to walk in there in the latest Wizarding World game.
Unfortunately, you can’t change Houses in Hogwarts Legacy once you’ve picked, which we found out during our Hogwarts Legacy review time, so the next best option is whether we can walk into another House’s common room. So, when you’re next walking around the Hogwarts Legacy map, can you do just that?
Unfortunately, you can’t enter other House’s common rooms in Hogwarts Legacy. In fact, there’s not even a prompt to say you can’t.
When you head to wherever another House’s common room is, there’s no option to enter it at all. So, if you’re hoping to see another common room, you’ll have to do another playthrough. Unfortunately, there’s also no Hogwarts Legacy new game plus mode to use the same character.. But you can have multiple characters thanks to multiple save slots in Hogwarts Legacy.
It’s a shame that you can’t enter other House’s common rooms in Hogwarts Legacy. However, you have plenty of things to do in the Wizarding World, which you can find out about in our Hogwarts Legacy walkthrough. We recommend learning the Hogwarts Legacy best talents and Hogwarts Legacy best spells as soon as possible for an easier adventure.
Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.
While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
