As you customise and bring life to your own wand in Hogwarts Legacy you will be asked to choose which core to infuse it with. This decision can be hard as the game doesn’t tell you what these cores do. So, which is the Hogwarts Legacy best wand core?
The wand core is one of a number of different Hogwarts Leagcy wand customisation options you have access to as you are playing Hogwarts Legacy. But, it isn’t as valuable as you may think and you don’t need to worry too much about which one you put into your wand as we learned in our Hogwarts Legacy review playthrough.
The best wand core in Hogwarts Legacy is either the Dragon Heartstring, Unicorn Hair, or Phoenix Feather wand core.
There isn’t any difference in gameplay between the three, the text just adds some lore to each one. This means you can choose whichever core fits your personality or is from your favourite animal. Personally, we are partial to a Phoenix.
Thankfully, no matter your choice, you can still work towards one of our Hogwarts Legacy best builds too.
With the best wand core in Hogwarts Legacy, you can now move on and start engaging in combat and fights. To do so, you will need the best spells in Hogwarts Legacy and the Hogwarts Legacy best Talents. Our Hogwarts Legacy walkthrough has those tips and more to help you out!
Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.
While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
