Grand Theft Auto 4, Rockstar Games' best GTA game, is on sale on Xbox right now alongside all three Max Payne games and the incredible Red Dead Revolver.

If you want to get your hands on one of the best open-world games out there ahead of the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date, you shouldn’t look at the list of the best Xbox Game Pass games and boot up Grand Theft Auto 5. What you should do is head to the latest Xbox Store sale and pick up Grand Theft Auto 4 – which is available via backwards compatability. Grand Theft Auto 4 is just one of several classic Rockstar Games titles on sale right now, but you’re going to have to be quick if you want to pick up GTA 4 cheap.

Released in 2008, Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 4 follows Niko Bellic’s attempts at escaping his troubled past, and pursuing the American Dream, in Liberty City – a three-island map that takes inspiration from New York City and New Jersey. It might not look as flashy as GTA 5, but it delivers fantastic gameplay with some of the best physics we’ve ever seen Rockstar Games present. It’s allegedly one of the most expensive games ever made, and it shows. It’s hard to compare to the sheer scale of Grand Theft Auto 5, we know, but this really is one of the best games of all time. So, why wouldn’t you want to pick that up on the cheap?

Well, we don’t think there’s any reason not to take advantage of this deal. You can buy Grand Theft Auto 4 for just $6.99 right now – that’s 65% off – alongside the Ballad of Gay Tony expansion for $9.99 and the Lost and Damned expansion for $4.99. You only have until July 11 to take advantage of this deal, though, so you don’t have long to decide if you want it.

If you’re in the UK, that works out at just £6.29 for Grand Theft Auto 4, £6.74 for the Ballad of Gay Tony expansion, and a measely £3.37 for the Lost and Damned expansion. When you can pick up a game like GTA 4 for less than a pizza, what’s not to love?

If you’re looking for other fantastic deals on Rockstar Games’ catalog, you can pick up all three Max Payne games for 40% off right now.

For those of you in the US, you can buy Max Payne for $8.99 right here, buy Max Payne 2 for $8.99 here, and buy Max Payne 3 for $11.99 right here. Delivering on some fantastic gunplay and gripping narratives, these are well worth picking up – especially if you’re looking forward to the Max Payne 1 and 2 remake from Remedy Entertainment.

If you’re in the UK, this equates to being able to buy Max Payne for £7.19 here, being able to buy Max Payne 2 for £7.19 here, and – of course – being able to buy Max Payne 3 for £10.79 right here. Definitely far from a bad price for some true classics.

We know it’s exciting that it seems like you might be able to start playing the Red Dead Redemption remake before Starfield drops, but you can actually pick up Rockstar Games’ first Red Dead game right now: Red Dead Revolver. This might not be an official prequel to Red Dead Redemption 2 chronologically, but there are certainly a fair few interesting references between the two – and it’s just a really fun game to play.

If you want to brush up on your gunslinging, you can buy Red Dead Revolver for $8.99 in the US and you can buy Red Dead Revolver for £7.19 right here. There are concerns that the Red Dead Redemption remake could suffer the same fate as Rockstar Games’ recent Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remakes, but it could also breathe new life into a truly epic game. Either way, spending some time with Red Harlow before John Marston is far from a bad idea. He’s something of a folk legend in both RDR and RDR2.
