God of War Ragnarok release date reportedly now planned for November

God of War Ragnarok's release date is reportedly now planned for November according to Bloomberg who have just offered up a up a firm release window

God of War Ragnarok Launch Date November: Kratos can be seen looking at Atreus

God of War Ragnarok‘s release date has been in the headlines all week long. With disappointment high that the game didn’t show up at Sony’s June 2 State of Play, and the game not appearing at June 9’s Summer Game Fest showcase, the perception was that the game had been pushed to 2023. But, that appears to not be the case with Bloomberg reporting that God of War Ragnarok’s launch date is set for November.

In a new article from the website’s own Jason Schreier, God of War Ragnarok’s release date had been delayed from September. But, as of right now the game is set to come out in November, although Schreier does say “no dates [for games] are certain in the turbulent world of game development and it may still be delayed again.”

So, where could we see the game? Well, the most likely place is with a dedicated God of War Ragnarok State of Play at the end of the month.

Sony has held State of Play showcases in the past focused on one game and it seems like the easiest place for Santa Monica Studio to show off the game, as we still don’t know what kind of gameplay changes and evolutions we can expect.

With the big showcases wrapping up after this week it doesn’t seem like Sony will have anywhere else to give the game a spotlight, unless they just release a new trailer. But, if the game hit this year we are keen to get an idea of just how Kratos and Atreus will play in the sequel as we slice enemies and brutally batter them with our weapons.

Earlier this year, Santa Monica Studio revealed a number of God of War Ragnarok accessibility options ahead of the God of War Ragnarok release date.
