God of War Ragnarok Best Runic Attacks: Kratos can be seen attacking a large enemy

If you are playing God of War Ragnarok you have likely picked up a number of runic attacks while playing. But, with half a dozen runic attacks available for each slot it can be hard to figure out which one you should have equipped. That is where we come in and after playing a fair amount of the game, we have nailed down the God of War Ragnarok best runic attacks.

Below you can find our picks for the attacks you should be using when decking out either the Leviatan Axe, Blades of Chaos, or the Draupnir Spear. They all can be found throughout the realms so be sure to keep an eye out in chests for them.

God of War Ragnarok best runic attacks

The God of War Ragnarok best runic attacks for the weapons in the game are:

  • Njörd’s Tempest (Best Axe Light Runic Attack)
  • Fog of Fimbulwinter (Best Axe Heavy Runic Attack)
  • Rampage of The Furies (Best Blades Light Runic Attack)
  • Tame The Beast (Best Blades Heavy Runic Attack)
  • Huldra Charge (Best Spear Light Runic Attack)
  • Honour The Fallen (Best Spear Heavy Runic Attack)

To kick things off for the Leviathan Axe, Njörd’s Tempest is easily the strongest attack we have come across. The spins help with crowd control and it can be upgraded to extend the whirlwind Kratos creates when using the attack. For the heavy attack, though, the options are less clear-cut. But, generally, Fog of Fimbulwinter is the top attack, boosting reach with your toolset and also pushing enemies away from you, allowing you to better manage a fight.

Next up, for the Blades of Chaos, Rampage of The Furies helps with increasing damage and burn status on enemies and deals some great single-target damage, offsetting the blades’ lack of strength in this with basic attacks. But, for the Heavy Attack you are going to want Tame The Beast which deals a number of strong, powerful attacks in a spot.

When it comes to the Spear attacks, we suggest the Honour The Fallen Heavy runic attack, which helps you close the gap, boosting the weapon’s great mobility in this regard even more and also provides some much-needed area-of-effect damage, which is a feature lacking in the spear itself.

Then, for the light attack, the top one is easily Huldra Charge. Siphoning is one of the strongest abilities the Draupnir Spear has and this does that for you. In addition, the multi-hit drill attack is also a nice bonus.

There you have it, our picks for the God of War Ragnarok bets runic attacks in both the light and heavy slots for all three God of War Ragnarok weapons.
