Scaramouche build overview
To give a brief overview of the best Genshin Impact Scaramouche build, here is what you’re going to want:
- Artifacts: Desert Pavilion Chronicle four-piece set
- Stat priority: ATK%, Crit DMG and Crit Rate, and finally Elemental Mastery
- Talent priority: Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and then Elemental Burst
- Weapon: Tulaytullah’s Remembrance
Below you’ll find our full breakdown of each recommendation, as well as example team comps you should absolutely slot Scaramouche into.
Scaramouche build artifacts
Scaramouche’s best artifact is Desert Pavilion Chronicle, the new artifact added with Genshin Impact 3.3. This will significantly bolster his power as an on-field DPS – his best build – through improving his Normal Attacks and Anemo DMG. However, if you’re building him as a Swirl Anemo DPS, then Viridescent Venerer will be the most effective artifact choice.
Artifact | Effect |
![]() |
Two-piece set: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%. Four-piece set: When Charged Attacks hit opponents, the equipping character’s Normal Attack speed will increase by 10% while Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will increase by 40% for 15 seconds. |

Two-piece set: ATK +18%. Four-piece set: When casting an Elemental Skill, if the character has 15 or more Energy, they lose 15 Energy and Normal/Charged/Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 50% for 10 seconds. This effect will not trigger again during that duration. |

Two-piece set: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%. Four-piece set: Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent’s Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10 seconds. |

Scaramouche is a five-star Anemo Catalyst-user specialising in on-field damage through a barrage of Normal Attacks while hovering above the battlefield. Since Scaramouche has a specific playstyle based around using Normal Attacks as the main source of damage, similar to Yoimiya, the best Artifacts for a Scaramouche build provide bonuses to these types of attacks, as well as Anemo damage.
Providing bonuses to Anemo DMG and Normal Attack DPS, the new Desert Pavillion Chronicle artifact set added with the Genshin Impact 3.3 update is Scaramouche’s best-in-slot artifact set. Similarly, Shimenawa’s Reminiscence is another good artefact for a strong Scaramouche build, providing bonuses to ATK and Normal Attacks. Viridescent Venerer is a useful alternative, boosting Anemo DMG and providing an invaluable Element RES debuff on the enemy. However, Viridescent Venerer is more useful for an Anemo Support unit, rather than Scaramouche who will serve as a main on-field DPS character.
Using the two-piece set bonuses of Desert Pavilion Chronicle and Viridescent Venerer will provide a significant boost to Anemo DMG, which can be a handy alternative while you search for other sets.
Scaramouche build stat priority
Scaramouche’s stat priority is ATK%, Crit DMG and Crit Rate, and finally Elemental Mastery. If you’re building Scaramouche as a Swirl Anemo DPS, then more Elemental Mastery will be needed to take advantage of this effect.
Slot | Main Stat | Sub Stat |
Flower | HP | Crit Rate/Damage > Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge |
Feather | ATK | Crit Rate/Damage > Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge |
Sands | ATK% | Crit Rate/Damage > ATK% > Energy Recharge |
Goblet | Amemo DMG Bonus | Crit Rate/Damage > ATK% > Energy Recharge |
Circlet | Crit Rate/Damage | Crit Rate/Damage > ATK% > Energy Recharge |
Given that Scaramouche is a main on-field DPS, you’ll want to prioritise stats that will improve your damage. Therefore, Crit Rate/Damage and ATK% will always be strong stats to have, with Elemental Mastery helping to improve any Swirl reactions triggered by Scaramouche. Note that if you are using Scaramouche as a Swirl Anemo DPS, then Elemental Mastery will be more important, though there are other Anemo characters better suited to this role. While Scaramouche’s Elemental Burst is not particularly powerful, Energy Recharge can be important to keep an eye on, especially if you’re using Shimenawa’s Reminiscence.
Scaramouche build talent priority
Scaramouche’s talent priority is Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, followed by Elemental Burst if he is built as a main on-field Anemo DPS.
Given that Scaramouche’s main source of damage is his Normal Attacks, upgrading this talent should be the first priority, granting a direct improvement to DPS. His Elemental Skill is also an important talent to level to increase its effectiveness, given that he’ll be using it frequently. Scaramouche’s Elemental Burst should be levelled last since it is not the main source of his damage.

Scaramouche build weapons
Scaramouche’s best weapon is Tulaytullah’s Remembrance. The Wanderer’s signature weapon is no doubt his best-in-slot weapon, providing a valuable boost to the effectiveness of his Normal Attack.
Weapon | Effect |
![]() |
Bygone Azure Teardrop Normal Attack SPD is increased by 10%. After the wielder unleashes an Elemental Skill, Normal Attack DMG will increase by 4.8% every second for 14 seconds. After hitting an opponent with a Normal Attack during this duration, Normal Attack DMG will be increased by 9.6%. This increase can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds. The maximum Normal Attack DMG increase per single duration of the overall effect is 48%. The effect will be removed when the wielder leaves the field, and using the Elemental Skill again will reset all DMG buffs. |

Boundless Blessing Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, the character wielding this weapon will gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every four seconds. Max four stacks. Lasts until the character falls or gets swapped for another character. |
![]() |
Wandering Clouds Increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12%. Normal Attack hits have a 50% chance to earn the favour of the clouds, which actively seeks out nearby enemies to attack for 15 seconds. Dealing 160% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 30 seconds. |
![]() |

Infusion Scroll Triggering an Elemental reactions grants an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus for 10 seconds. Max two stacks. |
While Tulaytullah’s Remembrance is by far Scaramouche’s best weapon, there are several other weapons that work well if you have access to them.
Lost Prayer to Sacred Winds will provide a stacking Elemental DMG Bonus just by staying on-field, which suits Scaramouche as a main DPS.
Skyward Atlas is another strong choice for a Scaramouche build, though given that the effect has a long cooldown and is dependent on percentage chance, the previous two weapons are more consistent.
Likewise, Memory of Dust is an excellent choice of weapon for Scaramouche if you plan on having a shielder in your party. Scaramouche’s play style as a ranged Normal Attack on-field DPS leaves him vulnerable to stuns, and so having a shield often helps these types of characters deal damage without interruption. Not only will Memory of Dust improve the effectiveness of said shields, but it will also provide a damage boost that is improved by 100% when a shield is active. This makes it a great weapon for Scaramouche if you have a strong shield character to go with him.
Much like Skyward Atlas, The Widsith can be a great option for a DPS Scaramouche build, though it’s less consistent than other options. While all of the bonuses it provides are substantial, not all are equal.
As a more free-to-play friendly option, Mappa Mare provides a powerful bonus to Elemental DMG when triggering reactions. As an Anemo Catalyst-user with an emphasis on Normal Attacks, Scaramouche is perfectly set up to use this weapon effectively.
Scaramouche build team comps
There are a number of Scaramouche team comps that you can create, with Scaramouche operating predominantly as the on-field DPS, though he can work as an Swirl Anemo DPS/Support.

If you don’t have Faruzan, Yun Jin provides a similar boost through empowering Normal Attack effectiveness. If you’re lucky with your pulls, you might also be able to build the best Faruzan build Genshin Impact has, the perfect teammate for Scaramouche.
