Forza Horizon 5 is back with another collectible task for you to complete, this time hunting down lanterns to celebrate the Chinese New Year which takes place on February 1, 2022.
These Floating Lanterns will be lighting up the empty deserts of Mexico at night and floating among the dunes in the day, giving the game a great sense of vibrance to celebrate the event. The challenge this week does ask you to drive through a whopping 50 lanterns, which will definitely dampen the excitement for the event a bit as all the lights are put out.
Nevertheless, you have to get your weekly Festival Playlist points and rewards and this will help contribute towards that. Read on for the best tips to find the Forza Horizon 5 Floating Chinese Lantern locations, and grab a spot where you can hit a nice chunk of lanterns in one jump.
Forza Horizon 5 Floating Chinese Lantern locations
Floating Chinese Lanterns in Forza Horizon 5 this week can be found in the Dunas Blancas location in the west of Mexico. They are scattered across the entirety of the dunes.
You will want to use a taller vehicle as some do float a bit above the ground. So, a sports car won’t always get the job done.
On top of that, if you head to the location on the map, right under where the N for Blancas is located you will find a set of around half a dozen lanterns floating in the air, meaning you can grab them all with one jump off a dune. However, to do this, you will want to use a sports car for speed.
If you can’t find any more, then you just need to log out of the game and log back in to have them reset, allowing you to continue working towards the goal of 50.
