Between regular Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and LEGO Fortnite, there’s simply too much to spend your V-Bucks on. If you’re looking to top up your Fortnite V-Bucks balance, don’t just settle for another helping of digital currency. Right now, PlayStation and Xbox players can access the Shrieking Star pack, which bundles way more value than you realize.
Before you head into a match in Epic Games’ ever-popular battle royale game, you should head over to the Fortnite item shop. Scroll all the way down to the bottom, and you’ll find the Shrieking Star bundle ready and waiting for you. It’ll cost the same amount of money as topping up your account with 1,000 V-Bucks ($8.99/£6.99), but you’ll be treated to some new cosmetics within one fell swoop. Essentially, you’re technically getting ‘free’ items alongside your V-Bucks.
Of course, there is a slight caveat to be aware of. You’ll need to complete some quests across your next few matches, but the good news is that they’re mega easy to complete. The pack contains a new skin, back bling, harvesting tool as per quest packs of the past, but the great thing about this one is you’ll get a skin for Fortnite’s co-op game spin-off, LEGO Fortnite. If you’ve hopped into the vibrant, blocky open world game, you’ll know that there really isn’t that many skins to use currently. We’re still waiting for Lionsgate and Epic Games to officially make a John Wick LEGO skin, after all.
The quests will be labeled under the ‘Happy Haze’ tab on your quest tracker, and all you’ll need to do is complete ‘match quest bonus goals’. Similar to dailies and weeklies, these goals will task you with anything from eliminating certain opponents, finding specific items, or just managing to survive until the final circle.
It’s all stuff you’d be doing anyway in-game, and is likely second nature to you. We recommend that you purchase this bundle on your primary platform for Fortnite, as V-Bucks don’t carry between PS4, PS5, and Xbox consoles, sadly.
Now is the perfect time to stock up on V-Bucks, too, as we’re due to see the next Fortnite Festival artist take to the stage shortly. Initial speculation suggests that Billie Eilish or Taylor Swift could take over the mantle from Lady Gaga. With Swift releasing her latest album on Friday, April 19, 2024, it certainly makes sense. Although, Eilish is also set to release her third record on Friday, May 17, 2024. While either of them would be a great choice, there’s only band we’re hopeful to see in Fortnite Festival soon.
