Foamstars Season 2 is going full Saturday Night Fever on PS5

Foamstars Season 2 will see developer Square Enix introduce a new character, fresh missions, and a plethora of cosmetics to grab on PS5.

Square Enix has dropped the deets on when Foamstars Season 2 will arrive, bringing “Groovy Disco” to the sudsy shooter. The PS5 exclusive’s next content drop is set to arrive at 5pm PT / 8pm ET on Friday, March 8, and 1am GMT on Saturday, March 9. Players on PS5 will be treated to “a new character, new modes, and a variety of new Free and Premium cosmetic content.”

Between the Foamstars Season 2 kick-off time and its conclusion at 5pm PT / 8pm ET on Friday, April 12, and 1am GMT on Saturday, April 13, you’ll be able to get your foamy fingers on new Foamstar Coiff Guy. Having been previously teased in Season One’s Happy FriYAY Party event, Coiff Guy can be picked up at Tier 31 of the Season Pass. However, if you want to pilot him and his star-spangled bonnet instantly then you’ll have to delve into your purse for the premium pass.

Coiff Guy isn’t the only way Foamstars is getting its groove on. One of 2024’s most colorful multiplayer games is set to add Missions 4-6, letting you party it up with each of the Foamstars themselves ahead of an epic showdown with the delightfully devious Dark Ramzey. With the introduction of Coiff Guy it’s great to see Square’s starting to expand its Foamstar line-up. At the end of January the developer laid out its roadmap for the PS5 exclusive’s first six seasons, promising further additions in the future. If you haven’t had a chance to check out Foamstars then you can still snag it for free on PlayStation Plus until March 4, so act fast lest you end up having to shell out down the line for the free shooting game.
